Reflecting on the creation of the heavens and the earth is a form of worship, indeed, it is among the highest forms of worship. In Sahih Ibn Hibban, it is narrated on the authority of Ata that Aisha, may God be pleased with her, said: "...The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, came to me one night and said: 'Leave me to worship my Lord, the Mighty and Sublime.' He went to the water skin, performed ablution, then stood to pray. He wept until his beard was wet, then he prostrated until the ground was wet. Then he lay on his side until Bilal came to inform him of the dawn prayer. He said: 'O O Messenger of God, what makes you cry, when God has forgiven you your past and future sins? He said: Woe to you, Bilal, what prevents me from crying when God Almighty has revealed this night: {Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of the night and the day are signs for those of understanding}.

Look at the sun, and ask who raised it as a fire, and who set it up as a beacon, and who minted it as a dinar, and who hung it in the air for an hour, its hands creeping until the Hour comes, and who gave it its ascension, and guided it through its stages, and placed it in its constellations, and moved its lamp in the sky of the world. Time is the cause of its occurrence, and the source of its branches and roots, and its book and chapters. Were it not for it, its days would not be in harmony, nor would its months and years be organized, nor would its light and darkness differ. The eveninggold comes from its mines, and the twilight flows from its cups. Centuries have been shattered upon its horn, and the passage of time has not erased a glimpse of its beauty.

God Almighty has spoken the truth when He says:

{We will show them Our signs in the horizons} [Fussilat: 00].
