In the Hands of the Surah
Surat Al-Zilzal is a Medinan surah, and in its style it resembles the Meccan surahs because of the horrors and hardships they contain on the Day of Resurrection. Here, it talks about the violent earthquake that will occur at the hands of the Hour, when every lofty edifice will collapse, every solid mountain will collapse, and strange, astonishing things will happen.
